The problem we work on

General job boards are designed for office professionals with a CV. Construction hiring does not look like that.

It is triggered by a worksite starting. It is urgent: four formworkers, for Monday. It is trade-specific, and "construction worker" means nothing. And it closes with a phone call or a WhatsApp message, not an email.

A large share of construction workers have no email address at all. Many read Arabic more comfortably than French. Almost none have a CV, and almost none will ever need one.

What we built instead

Phone sign-up. A number and an SMS code. No email address is required.

A profile with no CV. Trade, years of experience, photographed certifications, city and travel radius. That is what a site manager wants to know, and nothing else.

63 trades, not an "other" box. Formworker, rebar fixer, crane operator, tadelakt applicator, zellige master. A search in Darija, Arabic, French or Arabizi finds the right trade.

The worksite as the starting point. A job belongs to a site, with its city, dates and conditions: housing, transport, meals. A candidate sees the distance and the duration immediately.

Arabic as a first-class language. Not a translation laid over a French interface. The entire type scale changes in Arabic, because the Arabic script has a smaller x-height and needs more leading at the same size.

What we do not do

We charge candidates nothing. Ever, for any feature.

We do not sell candidate data. An employer who unlocks a number pays for that specific contact, and the candidate can see it.

We do not invent listings to look bigger than we are.

Where we are

Kheddam is young. The trade catalogue, the search aliases and the guides improve every week, and much of that improvement comes from searches that returned nothing. If you look for a trade and find nothing, tell us — that is exactly the information we need.
